The cause supports several local Bay Area Charitable Organizations including: Special Olympics Northern California, Juvenile Diabetes Research, local High School Football Programs and Mariucci Family Foundation.

“We are thrilled to have the ability to help some local charities and support the fantastic initiatives they are focused on here in the Bay Area” said John Madden. “It is more important than ever that we continue to help such extraordinary efforts in our backyard.”

“This was extremely rewarding to help these charities”, said Steve Mariucci. “We are proud to be serving our community and thankful of all the support we receive from local businesses to help us contribute to such great causes here in the Bay Area.”

The Northern California Special Olympics proceeds will help send local athlete delegations from Contra Costa and Alameda Counties to their flagship Summer Games at UC Davis this summer. The proceeds will also help to underwrite the costs of the Summer Games Bocce Venue.

Diabetes Research is near and dear to John Madden and the team. A portion of the proceeds go to support the Juvenile Diabetes Bionic Pancreas program, where they help design an artificial pancreas for those with Type-I diabetes.

Proceeds continue to support local high school programs in their efforts to encourage safety for athletes by funding the cost of new football helmets that comply with safety regulations. Foothill, Livermore, Dublin, Amador, Granada and Livermore Charter Prep High Schools.

The Mariucci Family Foundation, provided grants and delivered services to support underserved youth and their families by providing access to sports, recreational and therapeutic programs, nutrition, education, and healthcare. Prospective grantees of the Foundation include, but are not limited to, charities such as the Beacon House, Camp for the Stars, YMCA, School Programs and Athletic programs consistent with the Foundations charitable purposes, and more. For more information go to www.mariuccifamily.org
